Huge pop-up news Montreal. Star Philadelphia chefs Marc Vetri and Brad Spence will take over the kitchens at Stefano Faita and Michele Forgione's Impasto and Gema in Little Italy on June 23. Vetri is a culinary stalwart in the City of Brotherly Love, with no less than six restaurants to his credit. Spence is executive chef and partner at Amis Trattoria and the culinary director of the Vetri Family restaurant group. Forgione, long a self-professed admirer of Vetri, was proud to announce the news today.
The Montreal pop-up by the Philadelphia pals comes on the heels of Vetri's new book, Mastering Pasta: The Art and Practice of Handmade Pasta, Gnocchi, and Risotto, a co-production with his Rustic Italian Food collaborator David Joachim. Want in on the Vetri, Spence events? Call Impasto to reserve.
