The New Lili Co. Nabs a Second Rave in as Many Days

From Jean-Philippe Tastet.

A day after Thierry Daraize gave Lili Co. four fat stars in Le Journal de Montréal, the critic for Le Devoir has his say. Jean-Philippe Tastet falls just as hard for the transplanted restaurant from Catherine Draws and David Pellizzari. The new Mile End digs "comblera de joie tout le monde, à commencer par ceux qui avaient aimé l’ancienne adresse."

Tastet sees improvement in Pellizzari's plates—more soigné, more audacious, and made with a lot of care and ingenuity. The offal and seasonal veg-centric menu meets the critic's approval, with scant criticisms. Desserts, too, amply arouse the curiosity. As a result, Lili Co. more than merits this plaudit. "Travail en cuisine et en salle, contenu et contenant. L’intersection du boulevard Saint-Laurent et de la rue Villeneuve bourdonne et trois bonnes adresses s’y trouvent. Lili.Co est la plus récente addition. À votre bon coeur."
