Brace for Un Autre Resto Bar, Another New Mile End Restaurant

Another new restaurant is about to open in Mile End. Literally. Un Autre Resto Bar, in the former Café Local, will serve "pizza, pasta, pollo." If principal Nicola Odorisio's name sounds familiar, that may be because the businessman's former restaurant, the late Taverne Crescent, made the news in 2009 with a pay-what-you-want format. The Toronto Star wrote at the time that "Nicky Odorisio, co-owner of the stylish 'upscale tavern,' is hoping to attract clients willing to pay a fair price, but he said no offer will be turned away – no matter how unreasonable it may be."

Look for Un Autre Resto Bar to open sometime this summer.
