After some delays, a German-style beer hall, restaurant, and sports bar, will finally open in Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie in July. The announcement was just made today by Das Bier, the long-anticipated concept from principal Kaled Chaaban, a partner in Mile Public House in Brossard with Ahmed Chaaban. It was also reported last October that other principals in Das Bier include veteran barman Manny Vides, Jr., and Anthoni Jodoin, of Brutus and Nacho Libre. More on Das Bier from the bar's Facebook page:
With an area of nearly 3,500 square feet, the locale previously held by Boîte à Marius for more than 25 years old will undergo major renovations in order to host the first German-style beer hall in Montreal. Twenty beers on tap lines including several from Germany. A food menu consisting of several typically German items. A warm and friendly setting, perfect for exuberant parties.
