Opening Alert: Monkland Village Café MELK Pulls Espresso Shots Downtown

Another MELK Bar à Café is now open downtown. The second coffee shop venture from owners Dominique Jacques and Myriam Asselin is located at 1206 Stanley, between Sainte-Catherine and René-Lévesque. The new café opened quietly last week, some two years after the original MELK gave Monkland Village third wave coffee in the spirit of independent Montreal cafés like Myriade, Pikolo, Humble Lion, Pourqoui Pas, and Le Couteau, as well as homemade baked goods, and Trou de Beigne doughnuts.
