Step Inside Doca, a New Mediterranean Restaurant in Griffintown

Two weeks after this announcement, we have visuals on Doca. And, for good measure, an official PR communiqué about the new Griffintown restaurant. In short, the statement explains that Doca translates as "docks" in Portuguese, and that the 135-seater is led by Raj Patel, "a seasoned entrepreneur with close to two decades of business knowhow." Two other principals, Victor Batista and Victor Dias, come to the project via Cavalli, Da Emma, MKT, and Ferreira Café. Chef François Laurin (pictured) cooked previously at Pizzeria Sofia, Primadonna, Kabana, Bice, and the W hotel, and will oversee a menu described as "Mediterranean market cuisine." Kiva Design did Doca's interiors.
