Months after Montreal became the first city in North America with a cat café, a third is about to pounce, reports mtlblog.com. The feline-centric Café Venosa, hot on the heels of Café Chat l'Heureux, is part vegan eco-café restaurant, part art gallery, part "socialization space for adoptable cats from the Montreal SPCA."
The Plateau is suddenly a hotbed for animal cafés. All three of Montreal's cat cafés reside in the area, along with Le Doggy Café, which opened in January. Café Venosa is slated to open June 19 at 4433 Saint-Denis, between Mont-Royal and Marie-Anne.
