Maamm Bolduc, that Plateau casse-croûte par excellence, will open a second restaurant on Rachel Est, corner Saint-Christophe, later this month. The Montreal breakfast and poutine peddler (that also doubles as a gîte/bed and breakfast) has been open for close to a half century.
A spokesperson for Maamm Bolduc 2 assures that management will not mess with success. “The new place will be just as chaleureux, with a similar menu of homemade burgers and poutines. We will open with limited hours at the end of September and then expand that significantly sometime in October. And the restaurant will serve alcohol.” Late hours, beers, and poutines—competition for La Banquise, a mere block away? “Maybe, but they have a very reliable customer base. Our restaurant will be a small, intimate spot.”
