A downtown all-you-can-eat sushi spot has replaced another with the arrival this past weekend of Fisshu. The new restaurant, from Yang Wang, Tianlong Tong, and Zhuo Ying Yu, sports a huge likeness of The Great Wave off Kanagawa on one wall, and Memoirs of a Geisha-inspired murals on another. Because Japan. And yet, in typical sushi à volonté fashion, Fisshu's menu wanders beyond mere avocado rolls, and spicy salmon. It looks like customers will be able to score General Tao chicken, Hunan dumplings, and fried calamari too (see below).
Status: Fisshu, 537 Sainte-Catherine Ouest, corner Aylmer, (514) 319-1862. h/t Chowhound.
