MLT DWN, a self-described "fast casual eatery, specializing in gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches", has come to Montreal. Principals Rahim and Aly Moloo, who started MLT DWN in Kingston, Ontario in 2012, just inaugurated a new outlet at 837 Mont-Royal Est, corner Saint-André. The brothers have plans to expand to Laval, and Toronto too.
The new Plateau MLT DWN (melt down, get it?) replaces a bygone Caffè Art Java and will offer sandwiches "made to order using hand crafted ingredients." More from the Moloos here: "This is our first signature street front location, featuring our new design elements. This location has a seating capacity of 47 (soon to be licensed). Along with our signature sandwiches and sides, we feature monthly and seasonal specials." To get a sense of what to expect from MLT DWN, have a look at the business's website copy and menu.
From "the classic", to some of our more unique flavour combinations, we have taken comfort food to a whole new level.
#TasteComfort with one of our Signature Sandwiches, house-made soups and salads. Good restaurant quality food at an affordable price; @MLT_DWN we are committed to providing you with a great quality meal, using the finest ingredients.
The evolution of the Grilled Cheese is happening, just like it did for the burger; so stop by and come #Getcheesy with us.
