TK Restobar, a Pinoy-style diner, is no more. The Côte-des-Neiges snack bar was popular for a spell, thanks to Filipino classics like sisig, lumpia, and pancit, and, most notably, novel takes on ramen burgers, pork buns, fried chicken, and mac 'n' cheese. In a review dated March 2014, Montreal Gazette critic Sarah Musgrave had kind words for TK Restobar: "Coming up on its one-year anniversary, TK Restobar is definitely enriching the choices in the budget strip around Plamondon métro, an area where most meals out are cheap but utilitarian — lingering is not part of the concept. In a modern, loungey vibe, you can kick back, have a drink and snack on stylishly presented food from a team whose enthusiasm behind the scenes is palpable."
