Behold M.Mme, Chef Stelio Perombelon's Impressive New Wine Bar

Photos by Randall Brodeur and Patricia Brochu

If there's excitement about the arrival of M.Mme — and there is — it hinges largely on two factors: the wine bar's considerable cellar, and the re-emergence of chef Stelio Perombelon. If size matters to you, that cellar numbers some 700 bottles, while Perombelon was formerly at the helm of Les Chèvres, Les Cons Servent, and Sinclair.

Eater photographer Randall Brodeur was on hand to capture the Mile End spot this week. Principals Asbed and Sevan Istanboulian, who own Toi, Moi & Café next door, hired old design partners Sergio Dimarco and Nirmala Ferrao (of boutique firm Dimarco Ferrao) to make the space over. The result is sleek, and, sans customers, almost austere. M.Mme also includes two private rooms for special events. "Un lieu unique et inspirant," the owners call it. Now open 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., seven days a week. Enjoy this exclusive first look.

Update, March 16, 2016: Though open for well over two months now, M.Mme threw a swanky opening party last night. New photos of the premises by Patricia Brochu have been added to the above gallery.
