The blight of Giovanni Apollo's derelict Little Italy restaurant has been erased by the recent arrival of O'Rhéma. The bring-your-own-wine restaurant serves "fine cuisine fusion Antillaise", or Caribbean fusion, courtesy chef and co-owner Dany Jacques. Other partners include Barbara Jean-Jacques, and Dany Cadet-Sprince.
Fusion aside, O'Rhéma's menu accents Haitian cuisine, with the likes of griot, djon djon rice, beef and goat tasso, pikliz, and joumou soup. Sample it this Friday and simultaneously conquer your social anxiety.
Status: O'Rhéma, 6422 boul. Saint-Laurent, corner Beaubien, (438) 386-9490.
