The former Olivier Potier and Ô Plaisirs Gourmands on Sherbrooke and Mackay, close to Concordia University's downtown campus, has made way for Clementine, a self-described “café, bakery, and Mediterranean restaurant.” Turkish restaurant, to be more specific, from the looks of the menu. A weekend brunch offers up the likes of menemen, or Turkish-style scrambled eggs, with sucuk sausage, and Turkish black tea. That aside, the restaurant has wisely targeted the weekday student and office worker crowds with a variety of “Mediterranean and European inspired” homemade baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and other prepared foods to go. A spokesperson for Clementine adds: “And of course we have a variety of delicious coffees.”
Status: Clementine, 1490 Sherbrooke Ouest, (514) 933-8080, now open seven days a week.
