Houston Avenue Bar & Grill Replaces Cavalli Supper Club on Peel

With a signature Joe Mercuri menu

Houston Avenue Bar & Grill

A new Houston Avenue Bar & Grill will soon take over what was once the troubled Cavalli supper club, and very short-lived Sofia Vineria, on Peel street in downtown Montreal. "Our customers are the main reason for our continued success and we are committed to making their experience a memorable one at every visit," Antonino Messina, Houston's CEO remarked in a press release. That experience includes a menu curated by the chain's executive chef, Joe Mercuri, whose namesake restaurant on Wellington in Old Montreal/Cité du Multimédia, is backed by Houston Canada Inc., among others. Messina's other businesses include Industria Brasserie Italienne and Laitue & Go. Houston currently operates ten franchises in Quebec and Ontario.

More on the brand's new outlet from marketing director Steve Imperioli. "We chose to open up our latest location on Peel street, as we feel that the Golden Square Mile district is once again becoming a go-to eatery destination. We feel that our concept is the right fit for the demographic that works in the area during the week, both for lunch and for happy hour options, as well as a destination for the Golden Square Mile district dinner crowd, tourists, families, you name it!"

Status: Houston Avenue Bar & Grill, 2042 rue Peel, (514) 844-2121, now open weekdays for lunch and dinner, and Saturdays as of 4 p.m.
