The influence of independent Montreal café and micro-roaster Dispatch Coffee continues to grow with its recent announcement of a third retail location set to open in the heart of "the main" come autumn.

From the Instagrams:

"Dispatch was founded 4 years ago as a coffee truck. What inspired us then is still our commitment now: to make coffee better and to make better coffee accessible to a wider audience. In this spirit, we're pleased to announce that we are opening our third retail location in the heart of the Plateau, on St-Laurent Boulevard at Duluth. Thank you for your support - and for your commitments to better coffee."

The café is set to take over the nice vacant corner space you see above, previously an eyewear shop. It will sit next door to the "mom-and-pop" adult theatre Cinema l’Amour.

Dispatch's story is endearingly rags-to-riches: What started as a humble coffee truck has since opened its flagship roastery in trendy Mile-Ex followed by a spot on McGill University campus. Stay tuned: Eater has reached out for some further details on the new location.
