The historic Old Port neighborhood can now sample guacamole and green enchiladas at 260 Notre Dame Ouest with the opening of Restaurant Emiliano’s. Billed as “fine dining authentic Mexican cuisine,” Emiliano’s offers “flavours and methods from the ancient Mayans and Aztecs all blended with a South American twist.”
Executive chef Carlos Flores, from Mexico City, and sous chef Ariel Canto, from Merida, Yucatan, offer a super extensive menu (it’s four pages) of ceviches, tacos, tamales, enchiladas, larger plates like lobster and chorizo-stuffed banana peppers, and, of course, flan for dessert.
Emiliano’s also has an abundant list of tequila and mezcal, as well as cocktails created by mixologist Andrew Whilbey.
The restaurant opens Monday through Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Thursday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to midnight, and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to midnight.
The full menu and contact information can be found on Emiliano’s website.
