If you’re in Montreal with kids over Easter weekend, you’ve got one more entertainment option available as of 10 a.m. on Good Friday — kid-friendly café Biscuits & Confetti is open on Sherbrooke Street in NDG.
As Eater reported recently, owner Jennifer Podmore is focused on third-wave brews (one of few such options in NDG), with 49th Parallel and Phil & Sebastian beans, alongside cupcakes, grilled cheeses, and other eats tailored to both kids and adults.
The space is sizable and mixed-use, with a woody-toned café section, but also activity room and kids’ play area, all decorated in a way that won’t feel like a mega suburban place space.
As extra incentive, Podmore is also putting on a range of free activities for kids over Easter weekend — art classes, Easter Egg decorating, and gymnastics classes. These all happen in a separate activity space, so anyone just wanting to grab a coffee won’t be crashing. But if you’re looking for total solitude, maybe hold off a few days, as there will also be a bouncy castle and face painting as part of their opening celebrations.
In the meantime, take a sneak peek inside just the kids’ part of the café, below.
STATUS — Biscuits & Confetti is open as of today (April 14) at 5712 Sherbrooke West from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, and noon to 5 p.m. weekends.
