Two months back, the storefront next to Mile End’s Boucherie Lawrence was papered over with various logos from the Club Chasse et Pêche restaurant group — now, one of the most exciting openings of the year is here.
CCeP’s fresh pasta restaurant, Il Miglio, opens at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Friday), June 16 at 5235 St-Laurent. It’s the group’s first foray into casual dining and fourth restaurant, following Le Filet, Le Serpent and Le Club Chasse et Pêche.
As reported in May, it’ll be a daytime only affair (at least to begin with), focused on lunch but open until 6 or 7 p.m. CCeP owners Hubert Marsolais and Claude Pelletier are principals, but they are joined by two more owners — Le Serpent’s chef de cuisine Michele Mercuri, and pasta maker Giovanni Rasile.
Fresh pasta from a rotating chalkboard menu is the focus, and CCeP’s in-house pastry chef Masami Waki will provide a few desserts. Oh, and there’s only 30 seats, so show up early (or later, maybe) if you want to avoid possible lines.
