Toronto import Kinton Ramen has finished its Montreal expansions, with its Westmount location (on Sainte-Catherine, just west of Atwater) now open and serving umami-laden bowls of noodles, broth, and meat.
Until a few months ago, Kinton had just one outpost in the city, its Bishop Street location, which opened in 2016. It had otherwise stuck entirely to Toronto (not counting a handful of overseas locations in Japan and South Korea).
Yet a double expansion was announced in the summer — a location near Côte-des-Neiges metro opened in recent weeks, and as of today, a Westmount location is up and running. They’re serving a mix of classics like shoyu and miso broth with pork or chicken, and some of Kinton’s own creations like a ramen with fried chicken or a chicken-jalapeno option.
And a hot tip for anyone near Westmount on Kinton’s opening Friday — that location is doing half price ramen, all day long for Friday, October 26.
STATUS — Kinton Ramen’s Westmount location is open at 4090 Ste-Catherine W from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily. The Côte-des-Neiges location opens the same hours at 5216 Côte-des-Neiges Road.
