Deux Saisons is worth the visit for the peek inside alone. Entering the entirely black and white space feels like walking into a 2D cartoon or a-ha’s “Take on Me” music video. Create your own drink while ordering on a touchscreen and get a slice of strawberry shortcake, which fits into the  2D black and white theme with a clever frosting design.

At Yi Fang’s four locations (three in Montreal and one in Brossard), there’s an extensive menu featuring fruit tea, brown sugar pearls, and latte options, including a soy milk version for vegan and dairy-free drinkers. There’s even a fruit tea mixed with Heineken beer — though it is of the non-alcoholic variety.

One Babo offers a top-10 list of its most popular flavours with and without tea. That includes the delightfully colourful “cherry blossom sparkling pink lemonade” with aloe and pink honey pearls and the Oreo milk tea with Oreo crunch and brown sugar pearls. Leaves House is a good option for those on a plant-based or dairy-free diet — or for when you’re with that one friend who never wants bubble tea when you do. They’ve got nine bubble tea options, including matcha latte, café boba latte, and crème brûlée, plus an extensive coffee and tea menu and a selection of baked goods at the counter. 

Boba Boba has two brick-and-mortar locations and a kiosk at the Atwater Market during the summer months. Expect seasonal creations, like the “Guava Matcha” with matcha, guava, and palm sugar boba or the “Sunny Side Up,” which mixes black tea, mango, condensed milk and black sugar boba.

It is a special treat to see your boba pearls made, cooked, and scooped into the cup right before you. The signature here is a sweet, milky brown sugar drink, which can be torched à la crème brûlée or enjoyed in the form of soft serve ice cream.

Founded in 2014, this shop is known for its premium-grade milk tea options, though it also features a nice selection of decaf, matcha, fruit, yogurt, and yakult-based drinks.

Head to this cute Monkland Village Korean dessert and bubble tea shop for an extensive selection of flavours, including dalgona milk tea (named after a Korean sweet of the same name) and the photogenic lemon butterfly tea. You can also top your drink with crispy, delicious croffles (croissant waffles).
