People have never been more in need of a caffeine pick-me-up, and luckily for us, Montreal is a great place for it. It’s seen a boom in coffee shops in the last decade or so, meaning there is no shortage of places where one can find a solid Americano or something a little more dressed up.
The 50 spots listed here are among the best the city has to offer. Many are third wave cafés, from pioneers like Pikolo to newer shops like Saison des Pluies, which treats its coffee with the same level of reverence traditionally given to wine. Also well-represented are some classic Italian spots, from Mile End’s Café Olimpico to Ferlucci in Villeray.
Health experts consider dining out to be a low-to-moderate risk for the vaccinated. For updated information and regulations, please visit the official sites of the Quebec government and Montreal’s public health authority (Santé Montréal).
