Where to Do Dollar Oysters in Montreal

Buck-a-shuck options for the budget-conscious

View as Map

In 2022, anything you can buy for only a dollar, food or otherwise, is a steal. Oysters in particular can cost a pretty penny (and with good reason, quality certainly matters), so finding them at reputable spots for only $1 is a big win.

While those “buck-a shuck” specials used to be a dime a dozen, they are getting harder and harder to come by. Yet, there are still a handful of Montreal restaurants and bars serving them. Some keep it to one night a week, while others feature them as a regular 5 à 7 special — either way, there are multiple options available for whenever an oyster craving hits.
