18 Top Restaurants Open for Take-Out in Ottawa and Gatineau

What to eat if you’re living in and around the capital

View as Map

Just like anywhere else in the country, many restaurants and all bars around the Ottawa-Gatineau region are closed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

But in both Quebec and Ontario, restaurants are still allowed to open if they’re only offering take-out and delivery options. Please note that this map is not an exhaustive list of restaurants currently open around Ottawa — it’s best to check different restaurants’ social media pages to find out if they’re open. If your favourite is closed, there are likely still ways to support them: some restaurants sell their own merch (such as t-shirts and tote bags), and most establishments offer gift cards.

Even more importantly: it is not recommended that you cross between Ontario and Quebec to visit restaurants, nor should you order delivery food across provincial borders. As of this week, Gatineau police set up checkpoints at bridges from Ontario, and Ontario residents should not attempt to enter the province for non-essential reasons (needless to say, that includes take-out food). Quebecers can more easily cross into Ontario, but may be asked to explain themselves as they cross back to Gatineau.

Now with that out of the way, here are some top picks around the National Capital Region.
